An enjoyably festive time was had by both participants and onlookers at Glen Eden’s 2016 Santa Parade and Party on Saturday 19th November – with the party kicking off late morning in Glenmall Place, and culminating in the afternoon’s parade.

Many people deserve thanks for the day’s success. To quote Glen Eden Village –

Fellow Glen Eden community group Friends of Waikumete are holding Carols by Candlelight this festive season – the more the merrier!

Big thanks to everyone who took part in the Glen Eden Christmas Parade: The marshals, participants and all the other helpers, not forgetting Santa himself! And how lucky that the “weather gods” took pity on us and held off till about 4 p.m.
Also a word of encouragement for those good folk who took part in the clean up the other week. It was noticed! Comments were made about how nice the village was looking.
So now the organisers can relax a little and feel proud of a job well done.

From 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday 15th November, the Glen Eden Community Protection Society will be holding the annual Glen Eden Christmas Parade! The parade will stretch from West Coast Road to Glenmall Place, and pre-parade activities will commence from 12:30 p.m.
